Donna Harder, 61, died on Sunday, December 04, 2005 surrounded by her family at her home in rural Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral Services will be held on 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. George Davis and Rev. Bob Dahlen officiating. Burial will follow in the Silverton Cemetery, rural Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2005 from 5-8 PM at the Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a 7:00 PM Prayer Service. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral service in the church on Wednesday.

Donna Mae Baker was born on July 29, 1944 to George Nick and Mary Eliza (Sampson) Baker. She was baptized and confirmed at Silverton Lutheran Church in rural Thief River Falls. She attended country school and then graduated in 1962 from Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls, MN.

Donna was united in marriage to Wayne Dennis Harder on June 29, 1963 in St. Hilaire, MN. They made their home in Thief River Falls for their first year of marriage, then at Mavie, MN for another year, before settling at their current farm east of Thief River Falls, MN. Donna was a stay at home mom raising her 5 children. She also helped out on the farm, driving tractor, throwing bales, milking cows, along with all of the other farm duties. She went to work for the US Postal Service in Thief River Falls in 1985 where she has delivered mail for the past 20 years.

Donna was active in her childrens lives and her grandchildrens. She was always there to lend them a helping hand. She also was an avid Bingo player. Her other hobbies include crafting, sewing, quilting, flower gardening, and refinishing wood furniture.

Donna served on the Pennington County Fair Board for many years, where she served a term as the first female Fair Board President. She was a member of the Silverton Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.

Donna is survived by her husband Wayne, Thief River Falls, MN; 5 children: Mark (Sherri) Harder, Warroad, MN; Rodney (Ronda Sangrait) Harder, Thief River Falls, MN; Lori (Tom) Race, Goodridge, MN; James (Rynae) Harder, Thief River Falls, MN; Jodie (Steve) Zavoral, Thief River Falls, MN; 7 grandchildren: Danielle Harder, Riley Harder, Collin Race, Nicklaus Harder, Madilyn Race, Emilee Harder, Jacob Zavoral, her mother Mary Baker, Thief River Falls, MN; 1 brother, George Jr. (Tess) Baker, Indianapolis, IN; 1 sister Louise Cullen-Quam, Thief River Falls, MN; and other relatives and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, 1 sister, Bonnie Mullen, 2 brothers: Robert Baker, Bennie Baker, and a Godson Elliot Baker.
