Donna Kvasager Oklee, MN, 81, died on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at First Care Living Center in Fosston, MN. Funeral Service will be Friday, January 24, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Salem Lutheran Church, Oklee, MN with Reverend Margaret Jacobis officiating. Burial will be at Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Oklee. Visitation will be held on Thursday, 5 - 8 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Oklee and also one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Donna Mae Langved was born February 6, 1932, near Fertile, MN in Polk County, the daughter of Albert and Tina (Barlund) Langved. She attended rural school and graduated from Fertile High School in 1950. She was employed as a telephone operator and also clerked in a grocery store. She also worked at the hospital in Thief River Falls, MN. On April 26, 1956, Donna was united in marriage to Otto Kvasager at Maple Lake Lutheran Church. The couple lived north of Oklee and farmed in that area. Donna was a cook for 25 years at the Oklee School and also worked at the Oklee Quilting for many years. In 1971, Otto passed away and Donna moved into Oklee. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, Oklee, the Community Club and the Plummer and Oklee Legion Auxiliary and the Oklee Birthday Club. Donna enjoyed quilting and sewing, painting, reading, gardening and dancing. Survivors include: a son, Joel Brian (Jennifer) Kvasager, Oklee, MN and Lori Jean Kvasager, Crookston, MN; a grandson, Chais Leach, Crookston, MN; sister Alpha (Harold) Halvorson, rural Thief River Falls, MN sister-in-law Maxine Langved, rural Fertile, MN along with several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, parents, brother James Langved and sisters Kathleen Fahey and June Larson.
