Donna Presnell, 75, died peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2019 in her home in Grand Forks, ND, with family by her side.

Donna Mae Hagl was born on April 16, 1944 in Crookston, MN, the daughter of George and Amelia (Desautel) Hagl.  She was baptized and confirmed into the catholic faith at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN.  Donna attended and graduated from Lafayette High School in 1963.

After graduation, Donna worked at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls with her friend, Patsy Hagl, the niece of her soon-to-be husband, Franklin Presnell.  Donna met Franklin while he was home on leave from the US Army.  They married on April 13, 1970 in Red Lake Falls, MN.  Soon after marriage they moved to Ft. Hood, Texas and added to their family.  When Franklin retired from the military in 1979 they moved to Grand Forks, ND.

While living in Grand Forks, Donna worked for St. Anne's Guest Home as a dietary aide until the flood of 1997 when she moved back to Red Lake Falls.  Donna worked for Independence Plus as a direct support professional, mainly working with her daughter, Georgia until Georgia's death in 2007.

In 2008 she moved to Grand Forks and lived with her daughter's family until 2015 and then resided with her son's family until God called her home.

Donna had a great love for her family and friends, loved spending time with them and her beloved Corgi, Chelsie.  She was a die-hard Minnesota Vikings Fan.  Donna enjoyed listening to music, sewing, embroidery, and arts and crafts.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her prized possessions.  She had a never ending love for her Catholic faith and loved to pray the rosary.

Donna was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN.

Donna is survived by her children, David Presnell of Baltimore, MD and Thomas (Tracy) Presnell of Grand Forks, ND, and Sheila (Dan) Rhoads of Roscoe, IL; grandchildren, David Presnell, Nathan Presnell, Matthew Presnell, Kaleb Makey, K-Trena Nesdahl, Alexander Wills, Jacob Presnell, Morgan Presnell, Dylan Rhoads, and Justin Rhoads; great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Andrew Presnell, Wylee, Ayden, Payslee, Preston, and Navaeh; sister, Beverly Wander of Moorhead, MN; and many other relatives and friends.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Franklin; daughter, Georgia; her parents; brother, Larry Hagl; grandchildren, baby Rhoads, Daniel Rhoads, Jr., Sean Michael Rhoads, and Austin Daniel Rhoads.
