Dora Derosier, 79, died on Friday, May 16, 2003 at Valley Home in Thief River Falls.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, May 21, 2003 at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Tim Bushy presiding. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Terrebonne, MN.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at St. Josephs Catholic Church with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service and at the church for one hour prior to services on Wednesday.

Dora Reopelle was born on August 12, 1923 in Red Lake Falls, MN, the daughter of Euclid and Delia (LaPlante) Reopelle. She was baptized and confirmed into the Catholic Faith at St. Josephs Catholic Church and attended Badger Country School in Red Lake County.

Dora was united in marriage to Louis Derosier on March 8, 1943 in Red Lake Falls, MN. The couple made their home in Gervais Township, Red Lake County, where they operated a dairy farm and small grain farm.

Dora worked at the Hospital in Red Lake Falls and at Detroiter for over 20 years. The couple moved to the state of Washington, where she worked as a cook at Bethel High School. In 1980 they moved to Red Lake Falls for a short time then to Goodridge, MN, where Louis helped on the Troska Farm. In 1982 they moved to Brooks, MN, where they lived for 20 years. Dora also worked at Valley Home for several years. Louis died in 1987. Dora lived in Red Lake Falls for a short time and in February of 2003 moved into Valley Home in Thief River Falls.

Dora loved to make donuts for everyone. She was a wonderful gardener and enjoyed working and spending time with her family and friends.

She was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church in Brooks and Red Lake Falls, MN.

Dora is survived by four children: Robert (Brenda) Derosier of Pearl, Mississippi, Nancy (Paul) Troska of Reno, Nevada, Karen (Don) Konickson of Plummer, Minnesota and Doug (Deb) Derosier of Red Lake Falls, Minnesota; 14 grandchildren: Marsha (David) Harrison, Cassondra (Randy) Holly, Chad (Bonnie) Troska, Marc (Carla) Troska, Eric (Melanie) Troska, Stacey Troska, Wendy (Mike) Jessen, Nicole (Fiance David Lunsetter) Martel, Daniel Konickson and special friend Laci Pahlen, Chris Derosier and special friend Tracy Anderson, Matt (Jenny) Derosier, Brooke (Josiah) Hoefer, Brad Derosier and Ashley Derosier; 8 great grandchildren: Blaine Harrison, Zachary, Erik and Mattias Jessen, Austin and Aiden Martel and Tayler and Mya Troska; one sister, Rose Bregier of Plummer, MN; brothers-in law, Maurice and Sybil Derosier, both of Red Lake Falls, MN; sisters-in-law: JoAnn Derosier and Ella Mae Derosier, both of Red Lake Falls, MN, Lucille Bevier of Tacoma, WA, Madonna Balmer of Tacoma, WA, Mickey Derosier of Lodi, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Louis in 1987; sisters: Laura Riel, Flordia Phillips; and one brother in infancy.
