Obituary

Doris Larson, 87, died Saturday, December 10, 2005 at Valley Home, Thief River Falls, MN.

Doris Christine Hanson was born September 4 1918, in Saco MT, the fifth of 10 children to John and Emma (Grytdal) Hanson. She was baptized into the Lutheran Faith and confirmed at Rindal Lutheran Church. In 1922, she moved to Rosewood, MN with her parents. She attended Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls.

On April 10, 1941, Doris was united in marriage to Arthur B. Larson at Thief River Falls, MN. She was employed at M&D Caf, Thief River Falls, for many years and then worked at Forsbergs Inc for 11 years. She always enjoyed being at home with her 2 children while they were growing up.

Doris was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls and was a member of Rindal Lutheran Church. She was active in various church organizations and a member of American Legion Auxiliary. Doris loved to cook and bake and in all aspects, was truly a homemaker. Her entire life was her family. Music was a major part of her life, whether it was a rock-n-roll band or family reunion sing-a-longs.

Doris is survived by son, Chuck (Tami) Larson, Lake of the Woods, MN; daughter, Becky (David) Forsberg, Thief River Falls, MN; grandchildren, Shaun (Tami) Larson, Meloni Delage, Eric Forsberg, Lynsey Forsberg; great grandchildren, Alicia, Joshua and Benjamin Larson, Cole Olson, Paige Hodne, Zackary Delage and Layla Forsberg; brothers and sisters, Harold (Myrt) Hanson, St. Louis, MO, Harvey (Venice) Hanson, Thief River Falls, MN, John (Joyce) Hanson, Pequot Lakes, MN; step-sister, Myrtle (Ray) Johnson, Thief River Falls, MN; sisters-in-law, Opal Hanson, Spokane, WA and Marian Hanson, Grafton, ND and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by husband, Arthur, November 26, 1986; brothers and sisters, Margaret Hipsher, Lucille Bergman, Raymond Hanson, Arnold Hanson, Alice Brubakken and Esther Brubakken.
