Doris Routier, 76, of Red Lake Falls, MN passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND with her loving family at her side.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Doris May Kellison was born on October 12, 1941 in Billings, MT the daughter of Theodore and Ethel (Card) Kellison. She attended school in Billings.   She worked at the Stockman Café in Billings with her mother.

On January 26, 1962, Doris was united in marriage with Ralph Routier at her parent's house in Billings. They lived in Billings for a short time before making their home in Euclid, MN in 1962. To this union four children were born, Joyce, Roy, William and Robin. Twelve years later, the family moved to Mentor, MN and Doris enjoyed staying home raising her family. She also worked out driving potato truck for Hagen Farms and cooked at Marcoux Corner. Most recently she was a cook at Seven Clans Casino near Thief River Falls, MN.

Doris enjoyed working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She canned and froze much of the produce, and also went through the woods picking berries and made jellies and jams. Doris and Ralph enjoyed traveling back to Montana on occasion and driving through the countryside visiting different casinos.

She was friends with everybody and had a fighting spirit. Doris was willing to help everybody. She also loved the animals.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Ralph of Red Lake Falls; Joyce Hoppe of Thief River Falls, Roy Routier of Fountain, CO, and William Routier of Thief River Falls; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon (Richard) Walters of Billings, MT; and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Robin; parents; brother, Jim Kellison and sister, Marion Storey.
