Doris Stoltman, 77, of Thief River Falls, MN died on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Father Rick Lambert presiding. Burial will follow at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Friday, April 13, 2012 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM on Saturday at the church. Doris Ann Bushaw was born on February 22, 1935 at St. Michael's Hospital in Grand Forks, ND the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Murphy) Bushaw. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Manvel, ND. She attended country school through the 5th grade and then attended school in Oslo, MN where Doris graduated from high school in 1953. In 1952, Doris started dating her future husband, Hilary Stoltmanthey were "two peas in a pod" from the beginning. On November 16, 1954, Doris and Hilary were united in marriage at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Manvel, ND. They lived on the Bushaw family farm for the first year of their marriage, and then made their home in Thief River Falls where they have continued to live. To this union four children were born Diane, Stephen, Michelle and Patricia. Doris was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Thief River Falls, MN and was very active in the church guild. The rosary was a very important part of Doris's life and this was learned from her mother. She belonged to the Catholic Foresters and the Fourtown Grygla Sportsman's Club where she served as secretary for a number of years. Doris enjoyed being at home with her children raising her family. She worked a few part time jobs over the years, but her focus was always with her family. Doris enjoyed cooking, baking, dancing with Hilary, bowling, cross-country skiing, deer hunting, crafts, knitting, ceramics; she was very artistic, musical, and good with the Lord. She was a charitable person. Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Hilary of Thief River Falls, MN; children, Diane Stoltman of Silverton, OR, Stephen (Valerie) Stoltman of Thief River Falls, MN, Michelle Stoltman of Duluth, MN and Patricia (Marty) Pluth of Alberton, MT; grandchildren, Jessica Stoltman, Reilly Stoltman, Elizabeth Pluth, and Rebecca and Griffin Pluth; great-grandson, Noah Vennes; brother, Ardell Bushaw of Grand Forks, ND; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Bushaw and Mary Ann Bushaw; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by parents; brothers, James Bushaw, Arthur Bushaw; and sister, Evelyn (Ralph) Dubuque. Memorials are suggested to Hospice
