Dorothy Ann Grandstrand formerly of Viking, MN passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 at her son's home in Sartell, MN, where she was currently living.

Funeral service will be held 7:00 PM on Thursday March 3, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Kristin Ostercamp officiating. Visitation will start at 3:00 PM on Thursday until the time of service on Thursday.

Burial will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Viking Cemetery, Viking, MN.

Dorothy Ann (Lofstrom) Grandstrand was born on November 30, 1951 at Warren, MN daughter of Selmer "Louie" and Eunice (Johnson) Lofstrom.  She was baptized and confirmed at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Strandquist. She attended school at Strandquist.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Roy Grandstrand, to this union two sons were born Earl and Dean.

Dorothy worked as a Waitress at Wayzata Country Club, the Lantern in Thief River Falls, MN, Big Sioux Truck Stop in Grand Forks, ND, she also worked at Seven Clans Casino, the Tonka Toy Factory. Her favorite job was being a "Granny Nanny" and helping with her Grandchildren.

Dorothy was an animal lover, caring lovingly for many in her lifetime. She also enjoyed reading and watching true crime dramas, thrift store and bargain shopping and playing bingo. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Strandquist.

Dorothy is survived by her children Earl (Kari Goetz) of Viking, MN, Dean (Patti) Grandstrand of Sartell, MN; Tony Hultgren, son of partner Mark Hultgren: 6 grandchildren Connor (Summer) Grandstrand of Sioux Falls, SD, Chelsie Grandstrand of St. Cloud, MN, Kegan Grandstrand and Penny Grandstrand of Sartell, MN, Jacob Grandstrand of Viking, and Elijah Goetz of Grand Forks, ND; great-grandchildren Liam, Perrin and Ashley. Brother Lenny (DeAnn) Lofstrom of Strandquist, MN, niece Nancy (John) Feldman, nephews Devin, Dustin, Damian and Daltyn Lofstrom, several great nieces and nephews.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her partner Mark Hultgren, parents Louie and Eunice; sister Barbara Kasprowicz, brother John Lofstrom, great-granddaughter Harper Grandstrand.
