Dorothy Steineke was born May 24, 1935 at Lancaster, MN, the daughter of Frank and Rose (Kumm) Steineke. She grew up, attended and graduated from High School in Baudette, MN. She also attended college at Mayville, ND and was employed there as a Lab Technician.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Richard Greisen at Reno, NV. She worked at Fargo, ND as a medical secretary. The couple lived in Thief River Falls, MN since 1965 and Dorothy worked at the Heritage Center.

She held membership in the Elks at Thief River Falls. She liked to hunt and fish and very much enjoyed spending time with her dog, Benji.

Survived by children, Jeff and Richard Todd (Janis) Greisen, all Thief River Falls, MN and Sean (Brenda) Greisen, Red Lake Falls, MN; a grandchild, Nichole Beirman and great grandchild, Alex Beirman.

Preceded in death by husband, parents and sister, Lois.
