Dorothy Jury, 82 of Thief River Falls, MN passed away peacefully with her children at her side on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, MN.

A gathering time for family and friends will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, June 12, 2020 with a 7:00 PM Remembrance Service at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Pastor Larry Myhrer officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls, MN.

Dorothy Delores Schaller was born April 26, 1938 in Ellendale, ND.

On December 21, 1956, Dorothy was united in marriage to Robert Lee Jury in Ellendale, ND. To this union 3 children were born, Michael, Joan and Bill. The family lived for a short time in Dunseith, ND before settling in Thief River Falls, MN in 1966.

Dorothy loved her time at home raising her children. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, golfing, card playing and especially enjoyed camping with her family and friends.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls and Dorothy took pleasure in supporting the Humane Society in Thief River Falls. She is very thankful for Susie and Betty and all of her Summerfield family and special friends, Marlene and Kittie.

Dorothy was a kind, humble, caring Mother, Grandmother and friend.

Survivors include children, Mike (Diane) Jury of Thief River Falls, MN, Joan Jury of Edina, MN and Bill (Katherine) Jury of Shell Lake, WI; grandchildren, Ashley (Sean) Ranum, Missy (Gayland Jensen) Hodgson, Arne (Randi) Rantanen, Hayley Tompkins, Natalie Jury, Olivia Jury; great-grandchildren, Owen, Noah & Leni Ranum, Megan & Sydney Hodgson, Treyton & Jax Rantanen, Theo Bagaason, Wayde & Carter Jensen; and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert on December 20, 1998; and granddaughter, Karli Hodgson on September 12, 2002.
