Dorothy Olson, 74, died Monday, March 2, 2009 at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Funeral service will be 11 AM, Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend John Voelker officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief Rolsiver Falls.

Visitation will be 4 " 8 PM, Friday, March 6, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls with a 7 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to service at the church, Saturday.
Dorothy Mae Huseth was born April 25, 1934 at Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Erick and Inga (Strandvold) Huseth. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls and graduated Lincoln High School in 1952.
On November 28, 1953, Dorothy was united in marriage to Morris Olson at Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls. The couple lived in Thief River Falls before moving to Harwood, ND, where they lived from 1967-1968 and then returned to Thief River Falls, where she has lived since.
Dorothy was a home-maker, caring for and loving her family. She had many interests she passed on to her children including, cooking, music, dancing, laughing and having a "gift for the gab". She was proud of and deeply rooted in her community. You could often find Dorothy having coffee with her dear friends. She was warm and friendly to everyone she knew and met and quick to smile and laugh. She was loved by so many and will be deeply missed.
She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by children: Cathy Olson, Moorhead, MN; Ross (Glenda) Olson, Thief River Falls, MN; Merrilee (Loren) Goligowski, White Bear Lake, MN; Natalie Olson, Eden Prairie, MN; Linette (John) Forsberg, Marysville, WA; David (Anne) Olson, West Fargo, ND and Dianna (David) Cavalier, Okemos, MI; daughter-in-law: Jodie Olson, Thief River Falls, MN; 11 grandchildren: Andrea, Naomi, Nathan, Joel, Justin, Phillip, Jayce, Jack, Lindsey, Henri and Katherine; 3 great grandchildren: Julia, Margaret and Sophia; brother, Harry (Arlene) Huseth, Thief River Falls, MN; brothers-in-law: Erling (Barb) Olson, Thief River Falls, MN, Richard (Sharon) Olson, Thief River Falls, Ronald (Karen) Olson, Bemidji, MN, and Gordon Froseth of Belgrade, MN; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Dorothy was preceded in death by husband, Morris on February 8, 1993; son, Duran on August 29, 2002; parents; and sister, Beulah Froseth.
