Dorothy Rasmussen, 40, died Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at her home in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be 2 PM, Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Zion Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Ale Tulu officiating, followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls.

Visitation will be 5 " 8 PM, Friday, July 28, 2006 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls and for one hour prior to service at the church, Saturday.

Dorothy Louise Smith was born on August 13, 1965 at Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Dick and Beatrice (Lee) Smith. She was baptized at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls. She attended elementary school and Lincoln High School in Thief River Falls.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Terry Rasmussen. She was employed at Best Western and Super 8 Motels. She attended Northland College Nursing School and became an LPN. Dorothy worked in Arkansas and then returned to Thief River Falls, where she worked part time at Kruse In, St. Hilaire, MN.

She was a member of the Eastern Star. Dorothy liked to crochet, paint ceramics and play pool.

Dorothy is survived by mother, Beatrice Smith, Thief River Falls, MN; sisters, Bea (Dan) Narverud, St. Hilaire, MN and Tabitha (Ed) Jones, San Antonio, TX; nieces and nephew, Brittany, Alexandra and Adriana Narverud and Orion Jones; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is preceded in death by father, Dick Smith; grandparents and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
