Dorothy Trontvet died on Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Charter House Hospice Suites in Rochester, MN at the age of 87 years, 8 months and 26 days. May her memory be blessed.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Evangelical Free Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend John Grams and Orville Trontvet officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 21, 2007 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with a 7:00 P.M. prayer service on Monday evening and also at the church for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
Dorothy Emma Eidelbes was born on August 21, 1919 to John and Emma (Zavoral) Eidelbes in Star Township, Pennington County, MN.
Dorothy was united in marriage to Norris Trontvet on November 9, 1941 in a double wedding ceremony with Norris sister, Janet and Orville Kveno.
She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church and was actively involved in Womens ministries and White Cross. For Dorothy, the most important decision she made was when she surrendered her life to Jesus Christ in 1948. Her hearts desire was for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to accept Christ as their personal Savior and to live for Jesus. Dorothy loved to bake, crochet, quilt, read, and flower garden.
Dorothy is survived by five children, Ronald (Carolyn) Trontvet, Thief River Falls, MN, Darrel Trontvet, Buffalo, MN, Naomi (Merv) Sorenson, Maple Plain, MN, Renae (Rev. John) Grams Stewartville, MN and Debra (Jon) Christopherson, Monticello, MN; grandchildren, Michelle (Troy) Skime, Krista (Simon) Nevill, Melissa (Shannon) Gunderson, Matthew Trontvet, Eric (Laura) Trontvet, Amy (Kevin) Treptau, Kirsten (Greg) Seeger, Aaron Sorenson, Adam Grams, Katie (Mitch) Bunne, Benjamin Grams, Luke, Nathan, Jared and Andrew Christopherson; great grandchildren, Brendan, Alexandra and Tucker Skime, Anabella and Charlie Nevill, Cassie, Jaylon and Emelia Gunderson, Emily, Meghan, Jackson, Mason Trontvet; Logan and Emma Treptau, and Brady Seeger. Also sisters-in-law, Agnes Eidelbes and Edith Eidelbes; and brothers-in-law Orville (Bobbie) Trontvet, Orville Kveno, and Floyd Dalzell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, step mother; grandson, Chris Trontvet, sister, Rose Sjulestad, and brothers, John and Robert Eidelbes; sisters-in-law, Inga Trontvet, Pearl Dalzell, Janet Kveno and Clarice Trontvet; and brothers-in-law, Gerald Sjulestad, Orvin Trontvet and Gilbert Trontvet.
