Obituary

Dorothy A. Willett went to sleep in Jesus on Saturday July 30, 2016. She was born to Charles and Bessie (Baugh) Davis on August 30, 1925 in Scranton, PA. She was baptized in the Seventh-Day Adventist Faith. She attended elementary school and graduated high school in Ballston Spa, NY.

She was married to Alfred Willett of Ballston Spa, NY on October 28, 1945 and to this Union two daughters were born. After working several years for All State Insurance Company, she earned a BA degree in Elementary Education. She taught grades 1st-8th in a one room Seventh-Day Adventist church school for 5 years. Dorothy and Alfred then owned Abundant Life Chiropractic office in Glens Falls, NY where she was the business and office manager for 22 years. In 1994 Dorothy relocated to southern California where she became a distributor for AIM holistic health products. Due to declining health in 2007 she moved to Middle River, MN to live with her daughter Sheri and her husband Russ.

Dorothy traveled extensively. Besides her travels in the U.S., her worldwide visits included Europe, Australia, South America, Central America, the Caribbean Islands, and Canada. Many of her trips were for missions, because she enjoyed helping others anyway she could. She was a great supporter of children's needs, especially education, she also have a business Scholarship Services that helped young people with college tuition. Some of her outreach included Holbrook Indian School, an orphanage in India, and a young Guatemalan orphan throughout all of his school years.

Dorothy was an excellent business woman and invested well. She was a no nonsense mother and grandmother, as well as being compassionate and loving. She was a spiritual woman, keeping God and family always as her top priority.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Sheri (Russell) Eva, Middle River, MN and Lynda Herlinger, Matinsburg, WV, seven grandchildren: Brent (Jeanie) Eva, Blossburg, PA, Eran (MarySue) Eva, McLean, VA, Lyzette (Eric) Olson, Strathcona, MN. Derich Herlinger, Pere (Liz) Herlinger, Frostburg, MD, Rhianna Herlinger, Martinburg, MN, Shannon (Kaylenna) Herlinger, Martinsburg, WV; 11 great grandchildren; Dylan, Dustin, and Mia Eva, Craig Llewellyn, Heath, Lexus, and Gauge Eva, Easton, Layci, and Eizen Olson, and Lorelei Herlinger and 1 great great granddaughter; Hannah Rose Llewellyn, one sister Phyllis Pape and many nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Warren Pape and the father of her daughters Alfred Willett.
