Dorothy Wold, 79 died Sunday, April 06, 2008 at Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls MN.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 11, 2008 at Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Landstad Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Prayer service on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral at church.

Dorothy Carol Hanson was born on April 11, 1928 in Thief River Falls, MN the daughter of George and Alma (Simonson) Hanson. She was baptized and confirmed at Oak Ridge Lutheran Church and attended Lincoln High School graduating in 1946.

On November 8, 1947 Dorothy was united in marriage to Virgil Wold at Oak Ridge Lutheran Church. The couple made their home in Thief River Falls and Dorothy worked at Nash Finch Company. In 1956 they moved to East Grand Forks, MN where Dorothy worked for First Bank.

In the early 1980s the couple returned to Thief River Falls where they have continued to reside.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls where she was very active. Dorothy also enjoyed volunteering for different functions in the community. Dorothy and Virgil enjoyed visiting their many friends and family.

Survivors include her husand, Virgil Wold of Thief River Falls, MN; sons, Tom (Kaylynn) Wold of Thief River Falls, MN and Dale (Wanda) Wold of East Grand Forks, MN; special niece, Kristy (Wold) LittleSun of Oklahoma; grandson Matt Wold of Thief River Falls, MN; sister, Lenore Kraemer of Thief River Falls, MN; brother-in-law, Wally Lane of Moorhead, MN; and is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gladys Lane; brother-in-law, Joe Kraemer.
