Dorothy Wordelman, Oklee, MN died Monday, September 05, 2005 at her home.

Dorothy Martha Bakke was born June 22, 1913 at Plummer, MN, the daughter of Emil and Unie J. (Urness) Bakke. She was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church. She grew up and attended rural school.

On June 2, 1934, Dorothy was united in marriage to George E. Spong. George died December 1983. On August 21, 1987, she married Reuben Wordelman. Reuben died January 2, 2004. She lived on the farm north of Oklee for 67 years and then moved into Oklee. She spent the last 30 winters in Arizona.

Dorothy enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing, golfing and traveling. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survived by George (Charlotte), Paso Robles, CA, Larry (Norma), Thief River Falls, MN, Earl, Great Falls, MT, Dale (Susan), Grand Forks, ND, Gary, Fargo, ND and Esther (Homer) Saetre, Battle Lake, MN; step children, Lois (Roger) Carlson, Mesa, AZ, Dale (Lorrine) Wordelman, Rochester, MN and Jon (Marlene) Wordelman, Kassen, MN; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; 20 step great-grandchildren; 7 step great-great grandchildren; sister, Lillian (Halvor) Groven, Thief River Falls, MN.

Preceded in death by husbands, George and Reuben, son, Ernie Spong, parents, sisters, Gertrude and Florence and brothers, Herbert and Andrew and an infant brother.
