Douglas Stenberg, 42, died on Friday, October 6, 2006 at his home in rural Oklee, MN.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 10, 2006 at Salem Lutheran Church rural Oklee with Rev. Robert Paulson officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 5-8 PM at the Johnson Funeral Service in Oklee, MN with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday at the church.

Douglas Michael Stenberg was born on October 8, 1963 to Don and Alma (Richardson) Stenberg in Thief River Falls. He was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church rural Oklee. He graduated from Oklee High School in 1982. Douglas was united in marriage to Stacy Ruth Olson on September 2, 1989 at Salem Lutheran Church. Doug farmed all of his adult life with his parents and brother.

Douglas enjoyed music, motorcycling, and cutting wood.

Douglas is survived by one son Mark Douglas Stenberg of Oklee, MN, one daughter Kayla Rose Stenberg, Grand Rapids, MN; parents Don & Alma Stenberg, Oklee, MN; one brother Jeff Stenberg, Oklee, MN; one sister Donna (Tom) Mickelson, Thief River Falls, MN; nephews John & Chris Mickelson, Matthew Stenberg, niece Haylee Stenberg.
