Raymond Douglas Weber, 82, died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at his home in Newfolden, MN.

Funeral service will be 11 AM, Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Newfolden, MN, with Pastor Phillip Rokke and Reverend Raynard Huglen officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Newfolden, MN.

Visitation will be 5 " 8 PM, Monday, April 13, 2009 at Johnson Funeral service, Thief River Falls, MN with a 7 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to the service at the church, Tuesday.

Raymond Douglas Weber was born October 30, 1926 at Grygla, MN, the son of Joe and Ida (McDonagh) Weber Jr. He was baptized at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, March 21, 1927 at Grygla, MN. He attended school through the 8th grade at Newfolden. Doug served his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1944 until 1946.

On October, 30, 1953, Douglas was united in marriage to Janette Bakke at Newfolden.

He worked for Fisher Foundry in Middle River, MN for a few years, and then became employed at Bridgemans, Thief River Falls, from where he retired.

Doug enjoyed old time music, riding his 4-wheeler, crossword puzzles, spending time with family, driving with Mom in the country, bird-watching and working on the computer. He held membership with the American Legion Post of Middle River and the Thief River Falls Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2793.

He is survived by wife, Janette, Newfolden, MN; 5 children: Mark (Becky) Weber, Argyle, MN, Dean Weber, Newfolden, MN, Dawn (Gary) Donarski, Newfolden, MN, Mike Weber, Newfolden, MN and Marie (Wayne) Hamre, Bemidji, MN; 6 grandchildren: Chris Donarski, Chad Donarski, Tony Donarski, Alyssa Donarski, Aaron Hamre and Ben Hamre.

Douglas was preceded in death by his parents.
