Edmond (Ed, Eddie) Mattison, 56 of rural Oklee, MN died on Sunday, November 8, 1998 at his home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 13, 1998 at 1:00 PM at the Petterson Funeral home In Oklee, MN with Reverend Terry Olson Officiating. Burial will be held in the Finnish Cemetery near Plummer, MN.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 " 8 PM and one hour prior to services on Friday at the Funeral home.

Edmond (Ed, Eddie) William Mattison was born May 20, 1942 to William and Martha (Lee) Mattison at Crookston, MN. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He attended and graduated from Oklee Public School. He served in the US Army from 1964 until his honorable discharge in 1966 being stationed in Korea.
He was married to Mary Anne Meland. They resided in Chicago, Minneapolis and Plummer. He lived in Silver Lake, WI for several years until returning to Oklee due to poor health. He was an avid outdoor sportsman enjoying hunting, fishing and all outdoor activities. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Eddie is survived by the mother of his children Mary Anne Mattison of Moorhead, MN: one daughter Kristina Forsberg (Wade) of Goodridge, MN; two sons Eric of Moorhead, MN and Eron of Plummer, MN: 3 granddaughters Jessika, Brittney and Cassidy Forsberg. Three brothers Wayne Walhaug of Oklee, MN; Steve Mattison (Tootie) and David Mattison of Minneapolis, MN: three sisters Sharon Larson (Warren) of Thief River Falls, MN; Shirley Rux (Gary) of Thief River Falls, MN and Carol Clark (Richard) of Thief River Falls, MN. Also several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
