Edna Moe, 74, died Monday, December 17, 2007 at Pioneer Memorial Care Center, Erskine, MN, after a courageous struggle with Huntington Disease, surrounded by her family.

Funeral service will be 1 PM, Thursday, December 20, 2007, at Grace Lutheran Church, Grygla, MN with Reverend Mary Gilthvedt officiating. Burial will be at Valle Cemetery, rural Grygla, MN.

Visitation will be 4 " 7 PM, Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN with a 6 PM prayer service and for one hour prior to service at the church, Thursday.

Edna Annette Hanson was born October 14, 1933 at Grygla, MN, the daughter of John and Julia (Belonge) Hanson. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith. Edna attended elementary school in Grygla and attended Goodridge, MN high school.

On February 2, 1957, Edna was united in marriage to Leonard Moe. She worked at the Co-op store early in her life, then raised her family before working there again. She also worked nearly 8 years for Marvin Windows at Warroad, MN.

Edna was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Grygla and the Ladies Aid. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Senior Citizens of Grygla. She loved to sit beside her husband, Leonard, on drives. Edna was an excellent cook and enjoyed baking very much. She also enjoyed painting ceramics. Her sewing included making beautiful quilts for her family.

She is survived by husband, Leonard, Grygla, MN; children, Wayne (Rose) Hanson, Grygla, MN, Diane (Lane) Loeslie, Warren, MN, Donna (Dave) Giordano, Keller, TX, Denise Moe, Fargo, ND, Darlyne (Tom) Roen, Grygla, MN, Carmen (Michael) Oelrich, Solway, MN, Jason (Jackie Miller) Moe, Grygla, MN and Jared (Kristie) Moe, Grygla, MN; 17 grandchildren, Ryan, Travis (fianc, Stephanie Reagles), Michelle and Caleb Loeslie, Brent Witham and Janelle Giordano, Matthew and Brian Quam, Stephanie (Travis) Torgerson, Danelle (Leo) Osborn and Betsy Roen, Zachary and Peyton Oelrich, Raymond Moe and Alexis, Ashley and Avery Moe; 3 great grandchildren, Tyrel Osborn, Sawyer Torgerson and Andrea Quam; sisters, Betty (Joe) Robinson, St. Thomas, ND, Ruth Kasowski, Cle Elum, WA and Delores (Edward) Moe, Grygla, MN; brothers, Norman Hanson, Brookings, SD and Albert Hanson, Grafton, ND and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Edna is preceded in death by parents, brothers, Leland, Harold, Kenneth, John, Turnell, Gilbert and Arthur Hanson, and one sister, Mildred Green.
