Edythe Styrlund was born July 15, 1919 at Viking, MN, the daughter of Albert and Esther (Lindquist) Styrlund. She was baptized and confirmed. She grew up and attended Newfolden High School, graduating in 1937 and went on to attend Mankato State Teachers College.
Edythe was united in marriage to Victor Franson on June 14, 1947. She was a teacher for 10 years, teaching grades 1-8 at country schools and at Viking Elementary. She enjoyed gardening, reading and baking.
Survived by Gary (Susan) Franson, Rosemount, MN; grandchild, Jeffrey Franson, Thief River Falls, MN; daughter-in-law, Marci (Roger) Shafer, Thief River Falls, MN and nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by husband, son, Derald Franson, parents, brothers, Reuben and Earl Styrlund.
