Eileen Christianson, of Oklee, MN passed away peacefully with her family by her side Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND at the age of 67 years, 7 months and 19 days. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 1:30 PM at Sand Valley Lutheran Church at Trail, MN with Reverend Joseph Abrahamson Officiating. Burial will be held at Oakland Cemetery rural McIntosh, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Eileen Thea (Grimm) Christianson was born March 9, 1946 at Crookston, MN. Daughter of the late Orville and Marie (Magoon) Grimm. Eileen grew up and attended rural school in the Brooks-Oklee area Eileen was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. On October 12, 1963 she was united in marriage to Wallace (Wally) Christianson in McIntosh, MN . Eileen and Wally couple made their home near Oklee where they raised their two children Chad and Lynn. Eileen worked at Jenson's Mink Ranch and then for many years as a waitress/cook in different restaurants in Oklee and then went to work at Northern Pride Turkey Plant in Thief River Falls, MN for many years before retiring. Eileen enjoyed watching Billy Graham, old western movies and talking on the phone. Most of all Eileen enjoyed the time spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-great granddaughter. Eileen will be missed by all who knew her. Eileen is survived by her two children, Chad Christianson of Oklee, MN and Lynn (Alexander) Christianson of Bruce, WI; grandchildren Jessica (Gordy) Strom, Trevor Strom, David Strom; great-granddaughter, Brandi Sather and great-great granddaughter, Bria Sather; two sisters, Pearl Johnson of McIntosh, MN, Ruby (Irvin) Christianson of Trail, MN; one brother, Darryl (Delores) Grimm of Brooks, MN; two aunts, Doris Nelson and Violet Ferden; several nieces and nephews and many cousins. Preceded in death by her parents; husband; 4 brothers, LeRoy, Duane, Douglas, Curtiss; one sister, Janis; and two nephews.
