Obituary

Eileen Johnson (Anderson Cummings) received her angel wings and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 27, 2010. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Robert Dahlen officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls.

Eileen Bell Johnson was born in Goodridge, MN on January 19, 1924, the youngest of three children born to Carl and Olga (Bakke) Johnson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith in Goodridge, MN. She attended schools in Goodridge, MN and Newfolden, MN.

On March 19, 1947, she was united in marriage to Clifford Anderson in Goodridge, MN. To this union two daughters were born, Sandra and Tanna. The couple lived in Thief River Falls and Eileen worked at several businesses, including Arctic Cat where she was the first female production worker.

On September 26, 1988 she was united in marriage to Elton Cummings at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. They made their home in Thief River Falls.

Eileen was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Eileen loved her family very much and her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She enjoyed being a homemaker; she also enjoyed watching sports especially the Twins.

Eileen is remembered and loved by; Sandra (Bob) Niemi of Thief River Falls and Tanna (Jack) McGarry of Torrance, CA" her daughters and sons-in-law. Eileen has four grandchildren " Tammy (Kelly) Klein of Grygla, MN, Jason (Jessica) Niemi of Bemidji, MN, Brandon Niemi of Thief River Falls and Lauren McGarry of Torrance, CA. Eileen has two great-granddaughters-Megan Niemi and Kiaunna Klein; three great-grandsons, Keyton Klein, Ashton and Quinn Niemi; one great great grandson, Cayden Cullen. Eileen is survived by her brother, Clayton (Margie) Johnson of St. James, MN; sisters-in-law, Shirley Johnson of WA, Emma Anderson and Eleanor Anderson both of Middle River, MN; and many other relatives and friends.

Eileen is preceded in death her husbands; parents; brother, Glennis; great great grandson, Rylin Marsden; several brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; and many other relatives and friends.
