Eleanor Hodgson, 85, died Friday, September 22, 2006 at her home in Red Lake Falls, MN.
Funeral service will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Plummer, MN, with Reverend Jonathan Dodson officiating. Burial will be in Middle Grove Cemetery rural Grand Forks, ND at 3:00 PM Tuesday.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday one hour prior to services at the church.
Eleanor Mae was born April 22, 1921, the daughter of Carl and Clara (Myhre) Clemetson in Grand Forks, ND. She was baptized and confirmed at the Middle Grove Church near Grand Forks. Eleanor attended Rye 25 country school also near Grand Forks. She worked for Mrs. Fisher where she did cooking, cleaning and other household duties.
On March 22, 1942 she was united in marriage to Leonard Hodgson at Grand Forks, ND. The couple farmed near Grand Forks for a time later moving to Terrebonne, MN where they continued to farm. Eleanor worked at Hillcrest Nursing Home for many years, the Plummer School for a time as a cook and made and sold lefse Thanksgiving thru Christmas for many years.
She enjoyed her flowers but most of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very important to her. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Circle and had a great time with her Birthday Club friends.
Eleanor is survived by children: Linda (Paul) Morken, Warren, MN, Bruce (fiance, Glynnis Winand) Hodgson, Fertile, MN, JoAnn (David) Winger, Cambridge, MN and; daughter-in-law, Kristie Hodgson, Brooks, MN and son-in-law Richard Audette (Heidi) of East Grand Forks, MN. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren Jason, Amber, Samantha, Megan, Miranda, Becky, Jesse, Joshua, Randy, Robert, Rodney, Ronald, Barb and Brenda: and also 25 great-grandchildren; her siblings Adelaide Naas of Mentor, MN, Earl (Harriet) Clemetson of Grand Forks, ND, Charles Clemetson of Grand Forks, ND: sisters-in-law Arlene Clemetson and Maycille Clemetson both of Grand Forks, MN along with many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband, Leonard on February 6, 1994, daughter Beverly Audette, son, Sheldon Hodgson and infant daughter Geraldine, two brothers Sidney and Ardell and brother-in-law Dan Naas.
