Eleanor Johnson, 90, died Sunday, January 30, 2005, at Regina Medical Center, Hastings, MN.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 5, 2005 at Our Saviours Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hastings, MN with Reverend Doug Duin officiating.
Graveside Service were held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 7, 2005 at Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Wesley Langaas. Reception to follow at the Abundant Life Church, 1602 Pennington Ave., Thief River Falls, MN.
Eleanor Otilie Rupprecht was born September 3, 1914 at Goodridge, MN, the daughter of Robert and Annie (Simonson) Rupprecht. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN. She grew up and attended Big Grove School near Goodridge. Eleanor worked on the family farm in her early years and was a waitress at the Rex Caf and Palm Garden Caf both in Thief River Falls.
On June 28, 1936, Eleanor was united in marriage to Willis R. Johnson at the parsonage in Thief River Falls.
Survived by daughters, Shirley (Michael) McMahon, Crystal, MN and Terri (Garry) Kenyon, Ellsworth, WI; sons, Robert (Donna) Johnson, Hastings, MN and Dennis (Sharon), Johnson of Fountain Hills, AZ; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and one sister, Wilma Kraemer.
Preceded in death by husband, Willis, January 25, 1989; father, Robert Rupprecht and her mother, Annie (Simonson) Rupprecht.
