Eleanor Louise Peterson was born June 28, 1919, to Hjalmer and Emma (Kuehne) Peterson in Holt, MN. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1937.

On November 1, 1941, Eleanor was united in marriage to Malcolm Magnuson at Riverside, CA. She worked for the TRF Times for about five years.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. Eleanor enjoyed sewing, knitting, and playing whist. She took pleasure in spending time with family.

Eleanor is survived by one son, Michael (Heidi) of Pine Island, MN, two daughters, Judy (Robert Charles) Knapp, Fort Atkinson, WI, and Linda (Gail) Anderson, Nisswa, MN; six grandchildren: Mick, Karl (Jamie-Rose), Jenn (Jason), Kevin, Elise, Mitch, three great grandchildren: Jill, Jules, Samantha, one brother Glenn Pete (Joan) Peterson of Thief River Falls, MN, and one sister Lorna (Joseph) Moline, Green Bay, WI.

She was preceded in death by husband, Malcolm, February 22, 1988; parents, and one brother Arthur.

Eleanor Magnuson died Monday, February 21, 2005 at Pine Haven Care Center, Pine Island, MN at the age of 85 years, 7 months, and 23 days. May her memory be blessed. She will be missed.
