Eleanor McMillin, 77, died Monday, May 28, 2007 at Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 2, 2007 at United Lutheran Church, Gatzke, MN with Rev. Curtis Matz officiating. Burial will follow at Lanstad Cemetery, Gatzke.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 1, 2007 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral at the church.

Eleanor Ann Aamot was born on April 27, 1930 in Union, ND the daughter of Alfred and Ella (Akset) Aamot. She was baptized November 2, 1930 at Highland Lutheran Church in Fairdale, ND and confirmed June 11, 1944 at Zion Lutheran Church in Union, ND. She attended school and graduated from Osnabrock High School.

Eleanor was united in marriage to Ray McMillin on December 11, 1948 in Thief River Falls, MN. The couple made their home on a farm in Rollis Township, rural Gatzke, MN and later made their home on a farm in Veldt Township, rural Gatzke, MN. The family moved to Goodland, FL in 1953 and in September of 1960 moved to Chokoloskee, FL where they have continued to reside. In the last few years Eleanor and Ray have returned in the summers to help Randy on the farm.

She was a farmers wife " fishermans wife " housewife, mother & grandmother.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, feeding everyone who visited, flowers, spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was a big fan of the Back Behind The Barn Boys. Eleanor was a member of United Lutheran Church in Gatzke, MN and the Salome Circle.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Ray of Chokoloskee, FL and Grygla, MN; Gary (Lynn) McMillin of Chokoloskee, FL, Duane (Cecelia) McMillin of Chokoloskee, FL, and Randy (Janelle) McMillin of Grygla, MN; 11 grandchildren, Garys children, Corey (Teresa) McMillin, and Mallory McMillin all of Chokoloskee, FL; Duanes children, Allen (Gina) McMillin of Fayetteville, NC, Nicole Norris and Heather McMillin of Chokoloskee, FL; Randys children and step-children, Hailea McMillin, Hunter McMillin, Hudson McMillin, Jared Schaefer, Brenna Schaefer; 13 great-grandchildren, Garys great-grandchildren, Kristin and Rachel McMillin, Brandon Pervis and Raymond, Jr. Garza, Duanes great-grandchildren, Erica, Taylor, Sierra and Camryn McMillin, Shaina Norris and Kyle McMillin, Arianna Ringer, Cayla and Landon Starr; and brother, Leonard (Avis) Aamot of Lakota, ND.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and granddaughter, Ashley McMillin.
