Eleanore E. Ulrich 79 of rural Red Lake Falls, MN died on Thursday, April 08, 1999 at Northwest medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN. Arrangements with Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 10, 1999 at 2:00 PM in St. John Lutheran Church with Reverend Curtis Brooks Officiating. Burial will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Red Lake Falls.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday ONLY.
Eleanore Edna Steitz was born daughter of Michael and Ana (Rudolph) Steitz on September 29, 1919 at Fowler, California. She was confirmed April 9, 1933 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Fresno, CA. Eleanore attended grade school at Kerman, CA and graduated from Central Union High School in Fresno, CA. She enjoyed music, both vocal and instrumental. Eleanore played the clarinet, organ and violin; she also sang at family and community events. She directed church choir, taught Sunday School and was a 4-H leader.
On April 5, 1941 Eleanore was married to John H. Ulrich at Trinity Lutheran Church in Richmond, CA. They recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. The couple lived in Richmond, CA until 1946 when they moved to their farm in River Township, Red Lake County, MN where they lived and farmed until they retired.
Eleanore is survived by her husband John H. Ulrich; sons Kenneth J. and wife Linda K. Ulrich and David M. and wife Linda G. Ulrich both of Red Lake Falls, MN. Grandchildren Julie and husband Ben Langton of Hastings, MN; Craig and wife Kelli Ulrich of Houston, TX; Steven Ulrich of Red Lake Falls, MN, Robert Ulrich of Crookston, MN; Steve Conely and Mike Conely both of Red Lake Falls, MN. Brothers Roy and wife Eleanor Steitz of Buxton, ND, Lawrence and wife Clara Steitz of Fresno, CA, Sister in law Irene Steitz of Fresno, CA and Brother in law Bob Bruch of Richmond, CA.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Ted Steitz and one sister Meta Diener Bruch.
