Elinor Lieske, 87 of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Tuesday, May 11, 1999 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Red Lake Falls, MN. Arrangements with Petterson Funeral Home in Red Lake Falls.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 14, 1999 at 3:00 PM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Tim Bushy Officiating. Burial will be held in the St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery at Terrebonne, MN.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 13, 1999 at the Petterson Funeral home in Red Lake Falls from 5 " 8 PM with a 7:00 prayer service and also one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.

Elinor Milligan was born August 2, 1911 at Howe, Oklahoma, daughter of John and Edna (Kelly) Milligan. She was married to Edward Lieske in Red Lake Falls, MN on August 29, 1928. They farmed in Red Lake County for many years. They later sold the farm and moved into a house in Plummer, MN on June 4, 1962. Edward passed away August 20, 1962. She then lived in various places. On August 29, 1978 she moved into Sunset Court Apartments in Red Lake Falls where she loved to play cards, visiting and making quilts. She then entered the Hillcrest Nursing Home in November of 1995 where she has since resided.
Elinor is survived by one son Floyd Lieske of Rogers, MN; five daughters Arla Rarick (DuWayne) of Climax, MN, Wilma Rahier (Willard) of Bovey, MN, Rose Ann Jacobson (James) of Hurst, TX, Margaret Adelman (Duane) of Red Lake Falls, MN, Juanita Samuelson of Crookston, MN. Many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. One brother Ellsworth Milligan of Plummer, MN and one sister Eva Farrington of Columbia Falls, MN; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, son William Lieske, daughter Edna Sullivan and three sisters Charlotte Milligan, Lillie Halvorson and Blanch Sagen.
