Elizabeth "Sue" Bjorgaard, 84, died on Wednesday, January 05, 2011 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND.


Funeral service will be 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Viking, MN, Saturday, January 8, 2011 with Reverend Rena Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Viking Cemetery, Viking, MN.

Visitation will be Friday 5:30 to 7:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at Johnson Funeral Services, in Thief River Falls and also one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

Elizabeth Lorraine Tatro was born September 3, 1926 in Viking, MN, the daughter of George F. and Estelle L. (Gilbert) Tatro. She was baptized and confirmed at Warren Methodist Church, Warren, MN. She attended grade school in Warren and Newfolden, MN.

On December 10, 1946, Elizabeth was united in marriage to Arnold Bjorgaard. She was employed at the Warren Hospital for 2 ½ years and as cook at Viking Elementary School, Viking, MN for 14 ½ years.

Elizabeth is survived by children: George (Idelle), Inver Grove Heights, MN, Jerome (Renee), Circle Pines, MN, Robert (special friend Gretchen Kretzsinger), Viking, MN, Bruce (Vickie), Thief River Falls, MN, Deb (Roger) Jablinske, Thief River Falls, MN, Patti (Bruce) Londgren, Bagley, MN, and Peggy Buyaki, Castle Rock, CO; 21 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Carol Wheeler, Winona, MN; sister, Nina Rieners, Fosston, MN.

She is preceded in death by husband, Arnold on December 29, 2003; son, Kenneth; parents; 6 sisters and 3 brothers, daughter-in-law Kathy Bjorgaard and grandson Jason Wheeler.

Elizabeth Bjorgaard, died on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND at the age of 84 years, 4 months and 2 days. May her memory be blessed.
