Elizabeth Jane (Betty Wood) Johnson, 81, died April 14, 2005 at the Midway Care Center, Fosston, after a long illness.

Elizabeth Jane (Betty Wood) Johnson was born November 11, 1923, the daughter of John H. and Francis (Zavoral) Reed in Thief River Falls. She attended school in Thief River Falls and married Robert N. Wood, May 26, 1942 in Thief River Falls. Elizabeth and Robert lived briefly in Two Harbors, MN. The family returned to Thief River Falls in 1956. Her marriage to Robert ended in divorce in 1973 and Elizabeth relocated to Crookston and then later to East Grand Forks. She had been a resident of Midway Care Center for the last 5 years.

Elizabeth enjoyed sewing, crochet and knitting and took an active interest in her Grandchildren and various crafts.

She is survived by her son Robert (Brenda), Watertown, NY; daughters, Judy (Bert) Roberts, East Grand Forks, and Linda (David Schaeffer) Wood, Graham, N.C. two grandsons and three Great-Granddaughters and Brothers, Robert (Patsy) Reed and William (Donna) Reed, both of Thief River Falls.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John H. Reed, sisters Helen Corey, Rose Reed, and Dorothy Lane.
