Elizabeth Sauve Red Lake Falls, MN, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday August 7, 2017 at her residence in Red Lake Falls, MN with her loving family at her side.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Bob Schreiner Officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 5 – 8 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at St. Joseph Catholic Church and also one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Elizabeth Mabel Hagl was born July 27, 1941 in Terrebonne Township, MN, the daughter of Louis and Luella (Meyer) Hagl. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Anthony Church in Terrebonne. She attended Badger Creek School.
On October 24, 1959, Elizabeth was joined in marriage to James D. Sauve in Terrebonne.
She was employed at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Red Lake Falls, MN for 30 years.
Elizabeth was a member of the St. Joseph Ladies Guild. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and canning. Most of all she loved the time spent with her grandchildren. She appreciated people that would take the time to stop by or call.
Survivors include husband, James, Red Lake Falls, MN; 6 children: Sherry (Wallace) Rondorf, Thief River Falls, MN, James A. Sauve, Bloomington, MN, Michelle (Randy) Chaput, Red Lake Falls, MN, Colleen (Pete) Gudmundson, Red Lake Falls, MN, Jamie (Peggy) Sauve, Red Lake Falls, MN and Bradley (Angela) Sauve, Red Lake Falls, MN; 10 grandchildren: Cassandra Rondorf, Jessica Rondorf, Samantha Chaput, Evan Chaput, Brett Larson, Casey Sauve, Kylee Sauve, Wyatt Sauve, Landon Sauve, Kiara Sauve; 3 great-grandchildren Charley Mae, Elizabeth Marie, and Travis James; brothers: Joseph (Patsy) Hagl, Leonard "Pete" Hagl.
Preceded in death by 3 infant sons, James, Joseph and John; a grandson, Brandon Sauve; mother and father; brothers: James Vickery, Alfred Hagl and Harvey Hagl, and sisters: Theresa Hagl Cardinal, Josephine Hagl DeHaan and Margaret Hagl Kehn.
