Ella Hanson, 75, died on Monday, November 22, 2004 at the Karlstad Healthcare Center in Karlstad, MN.

Ella Larson was born on April 7, 1929 near Viking, MN, on the Family Farm, in Foldahl Township, Marshall County, MN, the daughter of Edward and Minnie (Olson) Larson, a younger fraternal twin with Elaine. She was baptized into the Christian Faith at home, confirmed at the Mission Church in Newfolden and attended school in Newfolden.

Ella was united in marriage to Melvin Hanson in 1967 at the Covenant Church in Viking. The couple made their home in Marsh Grove Township, Marshall County, MN. Ella was happy being a Home Mom . She was a very quiet person who enjoyed her five children and taking care of the house. Ella entered the Karlstad Healthcare Center on January 20, 2003.

She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Newfolden.

Ella is survived by her husband, Melvin of Newfolden, MN; five children: Mary Larson of Crookston, MN, Elaine Rue of Viking, MN, LouElla Hanson of Fargo, ND, Edward Hanson of Newfolden, MN and Carol (Todd) Danielson of Plummer, MN; eight grandchildren: Austin, Aron, Melissa, Brittany, Brandon, Adam, Brandon and Mickenzie; and one sister, Elaine Ekman of Newfolden, MN, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Clara Larson; one granddaughter, Angel Joy Danielson; and brother-in-law, Virgil Ekman.
