Ellen Wieland, 72, of Red Lake Falls, MN died on Friday, June 29, 2001 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, MN.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 3, 2001 at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Pastor Jeffrey S. Lytle officiating. Burial will be in the Immanuel Cemetery at Wylie, rural Red Lake Falls.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 2, 2001 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. with a prayer service held at 7:30 P.M. at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral at the church.

Ellen Mae Schultz was born January 16, 1929 the daughter of Erdmann and Elsie (Wolff) Schultz in Louisville Township, Red Lake County, MN. She was raised in Louisville Township and graduated from Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls in 1946.
On December 7, 1947 Ellen was united in marriage to Richard Weiss at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wylie, MN. Together the couple dairy and grain farmed in the Dorothy, MN area. Richard died August 1, 1982.
On June 27, 1987 Ellen was united in marriage to Kenny Wieland at St. John Lutheran Church in Red Lake Falls, MN. The couple resided on the farm until 1989 when they moved into Red Lake Falls.
Ellen was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where she was active in St. John Ladies Aide. She was a member of the Red Lake Falls American Legion Auxiliary, Red Lake Falls VFW Auxiliary and the Busy Janes Homemakers club. To Ellen, family was her hobby.
Survivors include her husband, Kenny Wieland of Red Lake Falls, MN; children, Gary (Terry) Weiss of Red Lake Falls, MN, Arlyce (Andy) Derosier of Bloomington, MN, Sherry (Mick) Raymond of Red Lake Falls, MN, Arlan (Barb) Weiss of Red Lake Falls, MN, and Kelly (Randy) Proulx of Red Lake Falls, MN; 14 grandchildren, Jon, Brigette, Jamie, Shauna, Matt, Nathan, Andy, Jenny, Katie, Laura, Rachel, Jeff, Austin, and Kyle; 2 great grandchildren, Zachary and Tanner; Brothers and Sisters, Bernice (Delbert) Schuhmacher of Glenville, MN, Arley (Irene) Schultz of Red Lake Falls, MN, and Mavis Arvidson of Red Lake Falls, MN.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard in 1982; and grandson, Brendan Proulx 1992.
