San Juanita Elsa Narvaiz of Thief River Falls, MN, formerly of Cotulla, TX, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, passed away at home, under the care of her loving family, on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the age of 58.

A visitation to honor Elsa's life and memories will be held from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN.

San Juanita Elsa (Ramirez) Narvaiz was born on August 22, 1959, in Cotulla, TX, the daughter of Jesus and Petra (Sanchez) Ramirez.  Elsa grew up in Cotulla and attended Cotulla High School.

On November 16, 1976 Elsa was united in marriage to Frailan Narvaiz Jr. in LaSalle County, TX.  Elsa and Frailan were married for 41 years and were blessed with four children:  Frailan III, Jesus, Gina, and Denise.  For 21 years the family made their home in Cotulla.  In February of 1997 Elsa and her family moved to Thief River Falls, MN.

Elsa's life consisted of being a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.  Elsa put family before herself.  Elsa was not only this to her family, but also a best friend and confidante.

Elsa is survived by her loving husband, Frailan Narvaiz Jr. of Thief River Falls, MN; children, Frailan Narvaiz III, Jesus Narvaiz, Gina Benavidez, and Denise (fiancé Delwin Johnson Jr.) Wallace all of Thief River Falls, MN; grandchildren, Briana, Kristine, Ashley, Robert, and Blake Narvaiz, Leonardo and David Benavidez, Joshua, Monica, and Lilliana Moreno, Adrian and Adam Narvaiz, Zachary Turner, Jazzmyne and Analia Johnson; great-grandchildren, Liam and Leah Cabreras, Aiden Kormick, CJ Benavidez, and Kayden Benavidez; brothers, Raul Ramirez, Ricardo Ramirez, Roberto Ramirez, and Jose Angel Ramirez; sisters, Erecelia Luna, Maria Torres, Elvia Rodriguez, Elma Jasso, Leticia Roman, and Aurelia Ramirez; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jose and Inocencia Ramirez and Valentin and Juanita Sanchez; her parents, Jesus and Petra Ramirez; brothers, Joel Ramirez, Timoteo Ramirez, Jesus Ramirez Jr., and David Ramirez; sisters, Alicia Ramirez, Belia Ramirez, Dora Ramirez, Elodia Ramirez, and Pepa Ramirez.
