Emmy Englund, 85, died on Wednesday, December 18, 2002 at Ebenezer Hall in Minneapolis, MN.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, December 23, 2002 at Community Bible Church in Grygla, MN with Reverend John Barkman officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery, rural Grygla, MN.
Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
Emmy Emilia Englund was born on July 7, 1917 in North Township, Pennington County, Minnesota, the daughter of Swan and Olga (Wolden) Englund. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran Faith and attended Stinar County School. The family moved to Goodridge and then to Grygla, where Emmy worked and helped on the Family Farm. She moved to California and worked for several years, returning to Minneapolis in 1963 and worked at the Metropolitan Medical Center for many years. She has resided at Ebenezer Hall since 1996.
Emmy was very active in her church and attended Billy Graham Crusades whenever possible. She enjoyed helping her friends and neighbors.
Emmy is survived by four brothers: Elmer Englund of McIntosh, MN, Carl Englund of Mora, MN, Arnold Englund of Warroad, MN and Melvin (Polly) Englund of Grygla, MN; three sisters: Mae (David) Martin of Pine City, MN, Gladys McCormack of Burnsville, MN and Eileen (Dieter) Kroerner of Payson, AZ; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ella Englund; and one brother, August Englund.
