Eric Joseph Hume passed away March 4, 2026 in Grand Forks, ND.

Military Graveside Honors will be held 11:00 AM on Friday May 29, 2026 at Greenwood Cemetery Thief River Falls, MN.

Eric Joseph Hume was born on April 10, 1965 in Thief River Falls, MN son of Hilding and Judy Hume. He was raised in East Grand Forks where he graduated from High School.

He joined the US Airforce and served for 3 ½ years.

He worked for Convey Health Solutions in Florida for many years. He returned to the Thief River Falls area where he was employed at Digi Key for 6 years, retiring due to ill health.

Eric enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by two sons; Sam Hume and Evan Hume, step-sister Jamie Melnie; aunt Betty Mjoen and uncle William Hume.

Eric is preceded in death by his mother Judy Melnie, step-father Jim Melnie; father Hilding Forest Hume, grandparents Robert and Deloris Thompson and George and Elma Bucklen
