Erma Pouliot of Red Lake Falls, MN, of Red Lake Falls, MN passed away on Sunday January 21, 2018 at Hillcrest Senior Living.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Sunview Center (209 International Dr SW) in Red Lake Falls, MN with Jeff Lytle officiating. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in the spring.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Erma Yvonne Perry was born July 21, 1920 at Dickenson, ND, the daughter of Eugene Herbert and Edith Mae (Markle) Perry.  She attended Crosby-Ironton School graduating in 1937. In 1938 the family moved to Red Lake Falls where they ran the Lincoln Hotel. Erma worked in the theatre and for Kundert's Telephone Company which later became Garden Valley Telephone.

On October 16, 1941, Erma was united in marriage to Gregg N. Pouliot at Red Lake Falls, MN. While Gregg was in the service Erma worked at McCord Field in Washington as the telephone operator. When Gregg went overseas she moved to Minneapolis where she worked for Walgreen's and Cargill. Following Gregg's discharge they moved back to Red Lake Falls where they raised their two daughters, Beth Jo and Nan Lee. Erma worked at Tischart's Federated Store and Wilcox Furniture Store for 13 years.

Erma enjoyed volunteer work with Committee on Aging, Dial-A-Ride, Blood Drives, Poppy Day, Hillcrest and Friends of the Library. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed going for a walk, crossword puzzles, reading and sewing for family and friends.

She is survived by Beth (Jerald) Solheim, of Bemidji, MN and Nan Boutain, of Red Lake Falls, MN; grandchildren Sally (Dave) Meyer, Jed (Joan) Solheim, Amy (Arly) Ohm, Meg (Jerod) Kolden, Erica (Bryan) Perkins; great-grandchildren Ty Sanvik, Eric Meyer, Adam Ohm, Alex Ohm, Bailee Kolden, Matthew Kolden, Alexia Meyer and Sofia Perkins.

Erma was preceded in death by her husband Gregg, parents Eugene and Edith Perry, a brother John Perry, sister-in-law Arlene Perry and son-in-law James Boutain.
