Ernest Rue, 81, died Friday, July 20, 2007 at his home in Grygla, MN.

Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 24, 2007 at 2 PM in St. Petri Church, Grygla, MN with Reverend Joseph Abrahamson Officiating. Burial will be held in St. Petri Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday one hour prior to services at the church, Tuesday.

Ernest Oliver Rue was born November 2, 1925, near Grygla, MN, the son of Simon T. and Clara (Thorsen) Rue. He attended country school and grew to adulthood near Grygla. Ernest helped farm the home farm and following his parents death he continued to live and farm the home farm until moving into Grygla in 2000.

Ernest loved to farm. He also enjoyed tinkering in the garage and working on antique tractors and attending auction sales. Ernest was a member of Grygla Lions club.

Ernest is survived by one sister, Cora Rue of Grygla, MN; sisters in law Hilda Rue, Thief River Falls, MN and Evelyn Rue, Hillsboro, ND along with several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers and sisters, Hulda Christianson, Helmer Rue, Carl Rue, and Selma Rue.
