Esther Rindahl, 99 1/2, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012 at First Care Nursing Home, Fosston, MN. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Trail, MN, with Pastor Joseph Abrahamson officiating. Burial will follow at Nazareth Lutheran Cemetery, Trail, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Esther's funeral service on Saturday at the church. Esther Nora (Brovold) Rindahl was born June 17, 1913 to Jacob and Thora Thompson Brovold in rural Gully area, MN. She went to school in the Gully area, and then trained to be a teacher in Crookston, MN. On June 17, 1937 she was united in marriage to Orland Rindahl and the couple moved to rural Pennington County, MN, where they made their home and raised five children. Orland was a farmer and Esther taught school at various country schools and then in Gully, MN. Esther is survived by four children, David (Darlene) Rindahl, Trail, MN, Gail Rindahl, New Richmond, WI, Susan (Milton) Olson, Keewatin, MN and Diane Rindahl, Hibbing, MN; eight grandchildren; two step grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren, five great great- grandchildren; and one step great great-grandchild; sister, Audrey (Carl) Siverson. Esther was preceded in death by her parents; Jacob and Thora Brovold; son, Jack Rindahl; grandson, Benji Rindahl; sisters, Mildred (Edwin) Bergh, Doris (Mervin) Rindahl, Luverne (Arlie) Fore and Verna Gore; brothers, Arnold (Sanna), Elmer (Millie), Walter (Alice), and Lloyd Brovold.
