Ethelbert Goodwin, 59, died October 4, 2002 at Innovis Hospital, Fargo, ND.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 9, 2002 at God Assembly of White Earth in White Earth, MN with Pastor Tim Brown officiating.

Visitation will be 1:00 PM-3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 8, 2002 at Johnson Green Funeral Home, Thief River Falls, MN. Visitation will be 6:00 PM Tuesday, October 8, 2002 at God Assembly of White Earth.

Ethelbert Caroline St. Clair was born May 25, 1943 in White Earth, MN the daughter of Herbert Paul and Corrine Frances (Fairbanks) St. Clair. She was baptized in 1943 at St. Benedicts Catholic Church and confirmed in 1956 at St. Benedicts Catholic Church, White Earth, MN. She attended two years at Waubun High School and two years at St. Paul Vocational Technology School.

Ethelbert worked in nursing from 1960 until 1978 in Minneapolis, MN. From 1983 until 1988 she worked as a Native American Court Advocate with the courts in Bemidji, MN.

She was united in marriage to Lyle James Goodwin, August 16, 1980 in Naytahwaush, MN.

She enjoyed Native American arts and crafts, traditional pow-wows, and a good game of bingo.

Survivors include husband, Lyle J. Goodwin, Naytahwaush; son, Gerald Gerry (Kelly Gruenberg) Neadeau, Hawley, MN; daughters, Marilyn (Vince) Olson of Mahnomen, MN, Maureen Marie Neadeau, Thief River Falls, MN, Edith Sue (Mike Randberg) Neadeau, Thief River Falls, MN and Terri Neadeau, Red Lake, MN; grandchildren, Nucona K. Neadeau, Amanda L. Neadeau, and Amber L. Neadeau all of Thief River Falls, MN, Quaylena K. Neadeau, Redby, MN, Joseph F. Neadeau, Hawley, MN, and David B. Donnell, Redby, MN; a great grandchild, Jaylin D. Kelly (Neadeau), Thief River Falls, MN; brothers, Meral St. Clair, White Earth, MN, Peter Denny St. Clair, White Earth, MN, William Billy St. Clair, Minneapolis, MN, James Jimmy (Helen) St. Clair, Coon Rapids, MN; sisters, Josephine JoAnn St. Clair, Minneapolis, MN, Harriet St. Clair Hanks, White Earth, MN, and Carol Zawislak, Fridley, MN; two uncles and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Her parents and several other family members precede her in death.
