Eugene Meyer, 84, died Monday, May 23, 2011 at Hillcrest Living Center, Red Lake Falls, MN.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN, with Rev. Frank Ehling officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, St. Hilaire, MN. Military honors will follow the ceremony.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Eugene August Meyer was born July 30, 1926 at Springfield, MN, the son of August R. and Bertha (Schultz) Meyer. He worked for Arctic Cat for several years.

He entered the United States Army and served his country at Ft. Campbell, KY, from 1951 until 1952. He farmed at Red Lake Falls, MN.

Survived by sister; Lillian Schweim, Redwood Falls, MN; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Lenora Schleusner and Dorothy Tonak; brothers, Gerhard, Delbert, Hartman and Robert.
