Eunice Flynn, of Bemidji, MN, formerly of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Sanford Hospital, Bemidji, MN, at the age of 92.

Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Service, Thief River Falls, MN, with Pastor John Wollenzien officiating.

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the memorial service at Johnson Funeral Service, Wednesday.

Eunice Gunda (Johnson) Flynn was born August 14, 1923, in Fargo, ND, the daughter of Oscar and Frances (Nelson) Johnson.  She attended NDSU and completed her nurse's training in 1945. She worked as an RN at St. John's Hospital and for Dr. Bottolfson in Fargo.

On April 29, 1947, Eunice was united in marriage to Robert Dale Flynn.  To this union 3 children were born: Gary, Nancy, and Julie.  While the couple lived in Thief River Falls, MN, Eunice worked at Elaine's and Mr. Duane's.

Eunice was a member of Eastern Star where she served as Chaplin and received her 50-year pin. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and Thief River Falls Lioness. She was President of the Thief River Ladies Golf Club, bowled with the local bowling leagues, and served as an election judge.

Eunice enjoyed playing cards, creating beautiful sequin and bead banners, knitting and cross-stitch projects and bingo.

She is survived by her children: Gary (Karen) Flynn of Palm Coast, FL; Nancy (David) Swenson of Bemidji, MN; and Julie (Gearey) Halverson of Peshtigo, WI. She had 9 grandchildren, Brian (Koren) Swenson, Amy (Wayne) Erickson, Kevin (Heidi) Swenson, Bradley Flynn, Jacqueline (Russ) Louk, Jennifer (Wes) Pendleton, Kimber (Shawn) Hasbargen, Emily and Kelsey Halverson; 2 step-grandchildren: Janelle (Norman) Larson and Jason (Amber) Homme; 20 great grandchildren; Joshua, Justin, Erin, Morgan, Taylor, Lacey, Blake, Cameron, Brayden, Evan, Brandon, Keira, Xavier, Jacob, Isaiah, Noah, Abigail, Isabella, Isaac and Sophie; 5 step-great grandchildren: Brandon and Travis, Payton, Braxton and Morgan. She is also survived by special friends Marilyn Hartwig, Louise Hoyum, Bruce and Jody Mayer.

Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, on June 16, 2006; parents, Oscar and Frances Johnson and brother, Harland Johnson.
