Eva Raymond, 88, died on Friday, November 16, 2007 at her home in Red Lake Falls, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Antony Fernando presiding. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Red Lake falls, MN.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
Eva Perreault was born on February 18, 1919 in Terrebonne Township, Terrebonne, MN, the daughter of Edward and Edna (Rock) Perreault. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Terrebonne and attended rural school. Evas birth mother died when she was five years old and her father married Rose Charest, who raised Eva.
Eva was united in marriage to Felix Joseph Raymond on October 3, 1939 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Terrebonne. The couple lived near Dorothy, in Louisville Township, and Felix helped farm the family farm. They moved into Red Lake Falls in 1941. In 1961 Eva started working at Vogue Dry Cleaners until it closed in 1990. Felix died on April 12, 1992.
Eva was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed quilting, playing cards, canning, cooking, baking, reading the daily newspaper and Gazette. She loved music and always had a big garden. Eva especially loved visiting with family and friends. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Anns Society and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
Eva is survived by six children: Julianne (Robert) Ferderer of Madison, WI, Diane (Vern) Nowacki of Seward, NE, Carol (Bruce) Foster of Eden Prairie, MN, Jim Raymond of Red Lake Falls, MN, Mike (Sherry) Raymond of Red Lake Falls, MN and Wayne (Ruth) Raymond of Rhinelander, WI; 15 grandchildren: Kevin, Lee, Mark, Michael, Renee, Scott, Carmen, Matt, Andy, Katie, Laura, Erin, Ryan, Phillip and Peter; 8 great grandchildren: Zak, Andrew, Julaya, Nicholas, Kate, Claire, Luke and Kyle; two sisters: Marie (Tony) Jochim of Maple Grove, MN, and Doreen (Frank) Wiblishauser of St. Paul, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; one brother, Gerald Perreault; and two sisters: Madelene Dupont and Helen Arveson.
