Evelyn Evenson, 81, died on Friday, April 6, 2007 at the Senior Behavioral Health Unit in Bemidji, MN.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Johnson Funeral Service in Thief River Falls, MN with Dr. John Voelker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.

Evelyn Christina Wangen was born on March 28, 1926 to Eddie and Marguerite (Beck) Wangen. She attended school in Lancaster, MN.

On July 14, 1946, she was united in marriage to Wallace E. Evenson at Lake Bronson, MN. The couple resided on a farm in Wyandotte Township, Pennington County until moving into Thief River Falls in 1958. Evelyn was a homemaker her entire life. She enjoyed puzzle books, especially number fill in books. Spending time with her family and grandsons meant a great deal to her.

She is survived by one son, William Bill Evenson, Thief River Falls, MN; three grandchildren: Enoch (Rachel) Evenson, Minneapolis, MN; Eli (Pauli) Evenson, International Falls, MN; and Erron (Pam Rud) Evenson, Grand Forks, ND; 4 great grandchildren Owen Evenson, Madison, Ashley, Hayley; 1 sister Vina Kamrowski, Grand Forks, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace on January 23, 1992, son Eddie Evenson, and her parents, 3 brothers Everett, Leslie, Louis, and 1 sister Patty Wangen.
