Evelyn Ulrich, 90, died on Sunday, June 10, 2007 at the Havenwood Care Center in Bemidji, MN.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, on Friday, June 15, 2007 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Plummer, MN with Rev. Rick Hensel officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Thursday.

Evelyn Leora Arlt was born on February 18, 1917 to August and Mattie (Gustafson) Arlt on the family farm in Gervais Township, Red Lake County, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church. She attended country school in Red Lake County.

Evelyn was united in marriage to William H. Ulrich on August 2, 1938 at the parsonage in Wylie, MN. They made a home near Wylie for a short time. Evelyn was a homemaker and mother when her children were young. They lived in Buhl, MN from 1953 to 1961. She returned to Red Lake County in 1961. She worked many years with her sister in law Wilma Arlt at several places including: Land O Lakes Turkey Plant, Shetlers Hatchery, Johnson Lefse. She also worked at Arctic Cat.

Evelyn enjoyed crafts. She could sew, quilt, crochet, make teddy bears, ceramics, and woodworking. She also enjoyed gardening, camping, playing games and making homemade wine. She also enjoyed making banners for the church and some of them are still hanging in the church today. We also wont forget her quick wit and sense of humor. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid in Plummer, MN.

She is survived by 6 children: Darryl (Gloria) Ulrich, South Haven, MN; Gayle (Sharon) Ulrich, Henderson, NV; Renette (Eldor) Engen, Newfolden, MN; Raynold (Kathie) Ulrich, Thief River Falls, MN; Cheryl (Larry) Martini, Bemidji, MN; Bonnie Thibodaux, Alvin, TX; 17 grandchildren: Scott Ulrich, Jeff Ulrich, Tracy Ulrich, Cary Leas, Shawn Leas, Michael Leas, Ryan Ulrich, Kara Rode, Jenny Ulrich, Kevin Martini, Kristi Starzynski, Jace Benefield, Jeremiah Friedenbach, Joshua Friedenbach, Jaime Friedenbach, Jacquline Thibodaux, Jocelyn Thibodaux; 10 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 1 brother Arnold (Wilma) Arlt, Plummer, MN and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband William, parents, granddaughter Wendy Ulrich, 3 brothers: Irvin Arlt, Arthur Arlt, Lloyd Arlt, and 2 sisters: Alice Cormican, Eleanora Aanenson.
