Faith Ann Heieren was born on September 25, 1949 in Thief River Falls, MN, the daughter of Emil and Audrey (Kelley) Heieren. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967. Following graduation, she attended Northland Community College, where she met Dean Luxenburg of Red Lake Falls, whom she married in 1968. The couple moved to Minneapolis where Faith worked for a credit reporting agency until becoming a full time mom with the birth of their son, Guy in 1969, and daughter, Tara in 1974. She returned to work in the early 1980s and enjoyed a successful career in the metals industry beginning with St. Paul Street Supply and many years at IPSCO. It was during this time that she married her high school sweetheart, Steve Langseth, who preceded her in death in 1989, after being married one year. Just before being diagnosed with cancer she had taken a new job with STS Manufacturing in February and was planning an April move to Washington State to help them with their new and expanding operations. She married her partner of many years, Lowell Bowen, on March 14, 2008.
She is survived by her husband, Lowell; daughter, Tara Buckbee of Forest Lake, MN; son, Guy Luxenburg of Centerville, MN; two grandchildren: Jordan Bakke and Allanah Luxenburg; mother, Audrey Heieren of Thief River Falls, MN; two sisters: Becky Heieren of Maple Grove, MN and Emily Meyer of Thief River Falls, MN; two brothers: Daniel (Iris) Heieren of Hudson, WI and David (Robin) Heieren of Stillwater, MN; one aunt, Janet Heieren; and several nieces and one nephew.
Faith Ann was preceded in death by her father, Emil Heieren; grandparents; and former husband.
Faith loved to hunt for antiques on the weekends, and display her finds around the house. Her kids and grandkids were always important to her, and she loved the holidays when she could decorate and shop and wrap presents for them. She will be remembered for her caring nature, fabulous decorating skills, beautiful gardens, her great lefse and cookies around the holidays, and most importantly, the unconditional love she had for her family and those close to her.
