Florence Faiman, 97, died on Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at the CNC unit of the Northwest Medical Center in Thief River Falls, MN.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 28, 2003 at the Johnson Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls, MN with Father Tim McGee officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Thief River Falls, MN.

Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Friday at the Johnson Green Funeral Home in Thief River Falls, MN.

Florence J. Faiman was born on October 27, 1905 in Agdar Township in Marshall County, MN to Jaroslav Julius and Marie (Vlasek) Faiman. She grew up and attended the Busy Bee Hive School in Agdar Township. She moved to Chicago as a young woman where she worked for the Bell Telephone Company as a night supervisor for over 40 years. She moved back to Thief River Falls in spring of 1974, where she had a home on North Main Avenue.

She was an avid reader who enjoyed reading and discussing health issues and politics. Florence also enjoyed playing bingo.

Florence is survived by nieces and nephews who shared her life: Tressie (Kenneth) Noreen, St. Hilaire, MN; Robert (Jeanette) Nygaard, Thief River Falls, MN; Conley (Carol) Nygaard, Fergus Falls, MN; Ramona (Lawrence) Burns, Tucson, AZ; Melba (Fred) Marquette, North Fort Myers, FL; Bonnie Anderson, Thief River Falls, MN; John Rhude, Thief River Falls, MN; Merry Hamberg, East Mesa, AZ; Susan Rhude, East Mesa, AZ; also many, many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, seven sisters, Frances Rhude, Anna Nygaard Olson, Julia Alexander, Mildred Spittstoesser, Alice Johnson, Marie Torgergson, Libby Benson and two brothers, Gustav and Julius Billy Faiman.
