Florence Clarice Nelson was born on December 8, 1910 in Strandquist, Minnesota, the daughter of Rasmi and Emma (Bloom) Nelson. She was baptized into the Christian faith and confirmed at the Mission Church in Newfolden. She attended school in Strandquist, graduating from Strandquist High School in 1928. Florence worked in various stores in Strandquist, Viking and Newfolden, including Newfolden Mercantile, Amundson and Lee and Smeby Hardware.

Florence was united in marriage to Kore Thorvald Myhrer on October 26, 1935 in Strandquist.

She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Newfolden.

Florence enjoyed being a homemaker, playing the piano, gardening, working with her flowers and was a wonderful baker. She made excellent divinity and flat bread. She was a hard worker throughout her life.

Florence is survived by one brother, Reverend Merrill (Amy) Nelson of Duarte, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kore, on February 23, 1999; her parents; brothers, Alvin Nelson and Clarence Nelson; and sisters, Minnie Elseth, Ella Thun and Ann Hanson.
