Florence Walker passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, MN.

Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Bob Schreiner Officiating and Deacon John Bruggeman. Burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, Red Lake Falls, MN.

Visitation will be held on Monday 5 – 8 with a 7:00 PM prayer service at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Florence Keim was born December 20, 1924 at Plummer, MN daughter of Frank and Anna (Schiefert) Keim. She was raised in Plummer and the family moved to Red Lake Falls where she graduated from Lafayette High School in 1942. She attended Normal Training at Moorhead, MN and received her teaching certificate. She taught country school east of Red Lake Falls, MN.

Florence was united in marriage to Donald Walker on June 19, 1947 in Red Lake Falls, MN. To this union six children were born. The couple made their home on the Walker Farm east of Red Lake Falls where she continued to live until moving to Sunview in Red Lake Falls then to Valley Home in Thief River Falls and later to Greenleaf Assisted Living and the Thief River Care Center in Thief River Falls, MN. Florence enjoyed flowers and gardening. She was a lifelong active member of St Joseph Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters.

Florence is survived by her children Lloyd (Charlene) Walker of Mentor, MN, Arlene (Derald) Mercil of Argyle, MN, Brian (Gayle) Walker of Woodbury, MN and Diane (David) Malcomson of Rochester, MN; daughter-in-law Pam Walker of Red Lake Falls, MN; grandchildren Amy Kinsella, Becky Walker, Katie (Brandon) Holter, Andy (Sara) Walker, Sarah (Pete) Matcha, Jennifer (Chad) Mercil, Tamara (Ryan) Bussman, Michael (Stephanie) Mercil, Jonathan (Morgan) Mercil, Amber Walker, Aaron (Lorrana) Walker, Zane (Kerrie) Malcomson, Tyler Malcomson and Rayna Malcomson; great-grandchildren Jacob Frenzel, Isaac Frenzel, Mahli Holter, Zakk Holter, Jett Holter, Norah Holter, Esme Walker, Remy Walker, Briony Walker, Emme Matcha, Elise Matcha, Claire Matcha, Abigail Bridenstine, Henry Bussman, Oscar Bussman, Kyla Mercil, Drew Mercil, Kenedy Krueger-Wasilowski and Karter Malcomson; sister Gloria (Sheldon) Payment of South Milwaukee, WI; sisters-in-law Hazel Keim of Michigan, Deloris Keim of Thief River Falls, MN and Sharon Dupont of Red Lake Falls, MN; along with many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, sons Paul and Alan; brothers Richard Keim, Arnold Keim and Clarence Keim.
